{"id":211837,"date":"2025-07-11T15:06:21","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T13:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/institut-tamis.rs\/?p=211837"},"modified":"2025-07-16T10:07:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T08:07:11","slug":"izvestaj-sa-3-evropskog-simpozijuma-o-fitohemikalijama-u-medicini-i-hrani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/institut-tamis.rs\/en\/vesti\/izvestaj-sa-3-evropskog-simpozijuma-o-fitohemikalijama-u-medicini-i-hrani\/","title":{"rendered":"Report from the 3rd European Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p3\">Researchers from the Research and Development Institute \u201cTami\u0161\u201d in Pan\u010devo successfully participated in <i>3rd European Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food<\/i> (3\u2011EuSPMF, <a href=\"https:\/\/3-euspmf.rs\/\"><span class=\"s1\">https:\/\/3-euspmf.rs\/<\/span><\/a>) held in Belgrade from July 1 to July 4, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 translation-block\">The symposium gathered more than 130 scientists from over 23 countries across Europe and worldwide, confirming the international importance and relevance of the conference in the field of research on bioactive compounds in medicine and food.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The aim of the symposium was to promote scientific achievements in the fields of natural products, food production, nutrition, and the medical application of nutrients, as well as to encourage new research partnerships and collaboration between scientific institutions worldwide. Helena Todorovi\u0107, MSc, a research trainee at the Tami\u0161 Institute, contributed to the successful organization of the symposium as a member of the organizing committee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 translation-block\">During the symposium, researchers from the Tami\u0161 Institute \u2013 Violeta Mickovski Stefanovi\u0107, Helena Todorovi\u0107, Dragan Bo\u017eovi\u0107, Predrag Brkovi\u0107, and Dragana Stevanovi\u0107, in cooperation with colleagues from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, presented a poster titled:\n\u201cThe Effect of the Growing Medium on the Content of Pigments in Microgreens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-211840\" src=\"https:\/\/institut-tamis.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"164\" height=\"162\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 translation-block\">\u201cNutritional Profile of Bean-Based Formulation Enriched with Microgreens and Spices.\u201d\nIn addition, she was a co-author of an oral presentation titled:\n\u201cBioactive Compounds and Antioxidant Activity of Bean-Based \u2018Cheese\u2019 Enriched with Spices and Microgreens.\u201d\nBoth papers were the result of collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">For her short oral presentation, Helena Todorovi\u0107 received an award from the journal Quality Assurance and Safety of Crops &amp; Foods <a href=\"https:\/\/qascf.com\/index.php\/qas\"><span class=\"s1\">https:\/\/qascf.com\/index.php\/qas<\/span><\/a>confirming the quality and potential of the young researchers of the Tami\u0161 Institute.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Participation in this symposium significantly contributed to strengthening the reputation of the Tami\u0161 Institute within the international scientific community, while also opening new opportunities for scientific cooperation and future projects in the fields of food production and the development of new functional food products.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-211839 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/institut-tamis.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/IMG-f4898acf46072034c459d758b96bc580-V.jpg\" alt=\"IZVE\u0160TAJ SA 3.
