On December 9, 2025, Stanka Pešić successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled “The Impact of Mineral Fertilization on Soil Biogenicity and Wheat Productivity” at the Faculty of Ecological Agriculture, Educons University in Sremska Kamenica, thereby earning the title of Doctor of Science (PhD). The dissertation is the result of several years of scientific research conducted at the Tamiš Institute and in the Microbiology Laboratory of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The research is multidisciplinary, integrating the fields of agrotechnics, agrochemistry, and soil microbiology. The study particularly focused on the effects of different mineral fertilization treatments on soil microbiological activity, agrochemical soil fertility parameters, and the morphological and productivity characteristics of wheat. The doctoral dissertation was completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr Olivera Nikolić (Full Professor) and the committee members Dr Svetlana Roljević Nikolić (Principal Research Fellow), Dr Dragana Miljaković (Principal Research Fellow), Dr Vesna Vasić (Assistant Professor), and Dr Zorana Srećkov (Assistant Professor).

In its evaluation, the defense committee emphasized the high scientific value and originality of the results, as well as the practical contribution of the dissertation. Particular value lies in the scientifically grounded results processed using appropriate statistical methods, and the logical integration of all research segments provided clear guidelines for practical application. In this way, the dissertation directly contributes to the advancement of sustainable agricultural production, making it a significant and applicable scientific achievement.

This success represents an important contribution to the further development of the scientific and research activities of the Institute and confirms the quality of work of our researchers, strengthening the scientific potential of the institution in the fields of agroecology and the development of innovative technologies in crop production.
