On Thursday, June 4th, 2026, the first meeting of the research teams participating in the Serbian–Hungarian bilateral project entitled “Effect of Trichoderma spp. on the productive traits of common wheat (Triticum aestivum spp.) and the investigation of their peptaibiotic profiles” was held at the “Tamiš” Research and Development Institute in Pančevo.

During the meeting, the main project objectives, planned research activities, and the implementation timeline for the 2026-2028 period were presented. The project is being carried out through the collaboration between the “Tamiš” Research and Development Institute in Pančevo and the University of Szeged, with a focus on investigating the effects of Trichoderma species on wheat productive traits and the analysis of their peptaibiotic profiles.

The participants discussed the research methodology, planned laboratory and field experiments, as well as future scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange between the partner institutions. Special emphasis was placed on the development of sustainable agricultural approaches and the application of beneficial microorganisms for improving wheat production and preserving soil health.

The meeting marked the official beginning of the project activities and represents an important step toward strengthening international scientific cooperation in the fields of agrobiotechnology and sustainable agroecosystems.
