The Research and Development Institute Tamiš, Pančevo, in the previous period organized lectures and workshops within the project “Improving Plant Agricultural Production Through the Control of Arable Soil Fertility and Monitoring the Implementation of Recommendations and Advice.” These activities were intended for agricultural producers from the municipalities of Kovačica, Alibunar, and Opovo, as well as the settlement of Sečanj, and represent part of the lectures and workshops conducted within the project.

The aim of this project was to promote the control of arable agricultural soil fertility, provide education for agricultural producers and other interested users about the importance and advantages of soil fertility control in the sectors of vegetable production, fruit growing, and field crop production, and to motivate interested users to timely and rationally apply agrotechnical and ameliorative measures in order to improve plant agricultural production.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, within the framework of incentives supporting the improvement of the system for knowledge creation and transfer through support for the development of technical-technological, applied, developmental, and innovative projects in agriculture and rural development in 2024.

Within the project, the right to free soil analyses was granted to individuals and legal entities with registered agricultural holdings, as well as to households that have not yet registered their holdings within the eAgrar system. During the lectures and workshops, project participants presented the results of soil analyses to producers, interpreted the recommendations and advice for further actions regarding the selection and quantities of necessary nutrients, which represent an integral part of the report.
