Researchers from the Research and Development Institute “Tamiš” participated in the 12th JEEP International Scientific Agribusiness Conference – MAK 2025, entitled “Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability in Agriculture and Food Production in Serbia, the Region, and Southeast Europe.” The conference was held at Kopaonik from January 30 to February 2, 2025, organized by the Institute for Plant Protection and Environment, Belgrade, and the Scientific–Business Center “WORLD”, Kraljevo.

Dr Mirela Matković Stojšin, Research Associate of the Institute, presented a scientific paper entitled “Impact of foliar fertilization on grain weight per spike in durum wheat grown under organic farming” within the poster session. The aim of the research was to examine the effect of foliar fertilization on the productivity of durum wheat in organic production, that is, to investigate the possibility of improving yield and sustainability of durum wheat production in this cultivation system. In addition, Dr Matković Stojšin was a member of the scientific committee of the conference and one of the chairs of the Plenary Session “Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability in Agriculture and Food Production.”

The conference gathered participants from 15 countries, including scientists, experts, business representatives, and decision-makers, who presented the latest scientific results and innovative solutions in agriculture through plenary lectures, panel discussions, and workshops. The key topics of the conference included the impact of climate change on ecosystems, adaptation of agricultural production to new climatic conditions, and the application of innovative solutions for risk mitigation, with the aim of improving agricultural sustainability, food safety, rural development, energy resource management, and environmental protection in Serbia and Southeast Europe.
