Inspection of Seed Production and Planting Material

Seed production inspection includes the examination of documentation on the origin of the seed used, as well as professional and phytosanitary inspections during the growing season, and the preparation of inspection reports. Based on these reports, a Health Certificate and a Decision on the Recognition of the Seed Crop are issued.

Documentation required for registration of seed production

  • Completed application form for professional inspection (attached)
  • Completed application form for phytosanitary inspection (attached)
  • Proof of payment of inspection fees (mandatory bank statement)
  • Declaration for the seed used
  • Certificate of recognition of the seed crop for the seed used
  • Decision on registration in the register of seed producers
  • Contract with the holder of plant variety protection
  • Plot sketch

All listed documents must be submitted in two copies to PSS Institut Tamiš by mail or in person.

According to the Notification of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Plant Protection Directorate No. 011-00-53/20-11 of February 19, 2020, the administrative fees for inspection have been determined.
Fees for seed production inspection (payable per started hectare)

In the case of multiple applications for the same crop, the fee must be paid separately for each application. Payments must not be made as a combined total. Applications submitted after the deadline or with incomplete documentation will be returned to the applicant. Special attention should be paid to the reference number (“poziv na broj”) when making the payment.

 

Inspection of the Production of Fruit Tree and Grapevine Planting Material

Inspection of the production of planting material for fruit trees and grapevines includes: review of documentation submitted when registering planting material production, particularly regarding the origin of the planting material used two professional and phytosanitary inspections during the growing season preparation of inspection reports Based on these reports, a Health Certificate is issued, which is then used for issuing the certificate of production.

Proof of payment of administrative fees for the inspection of fruit tree and grapevine planting material production (confirmed exclusively by a bank statement) LINK Tariff item 78v refers to the fees that must be paid for the production application, while tariff item 78g refers to the amount of fees to be paid prior to the issuance of the attestation or certificate.

All documents, including those attached to the professional inspection forms, must be submitted in two copies to PSS Institut Tamiš, either by mail or in person.

Notes

The fee for issuing certificates for fruit seedlings, rootstocks, grapevine grafts, and container production applies to quantities of up to 1,000 pieces per request. For each additional piece above this amount, the fee increases by 0.1% per piece.

The fee for mother fruit trees applies to quantities up to 10 pieces, and for each additional piece the fee increases by 6.7% per piece.The fee for mother grapevines and mother bushes of vegetative fruit rootstocks applies to quantities up to 100 pieces, with an increase of 1% per additional piece.

The fee for mother plantations of blackberry, currant, blueberry, hazelnut shoots, and Oblačinska sour cherry applies to areas up to 1 hectare, and increases by 25% for each additional hectare.

The fee for raspberry and strawberry mother plantations applies to areas up to 1 hectare, and increases by 10% for each additional hectare.

Administrative fees must be paid separately for each application. Payments must not be made as a combined total.

Applications submitted late or with incomplete documentation
will be returned to the applicant.
